We, the founders, Chris Howard and Ainslie Craig set up The IT Bureau from a belief that many small companies were not getting real value from IT. 

Through our experience of working in both large and small businesses with different requirements, we became aware of the gulf between the technical capabilities and security enjoyed by large businesses and those that were almost endured by small business. These differences are very large today and in many ways the gap is increasing.

Whether it was independent advice, simple backup and recovery, being secure on the Internet, or gaining access to the more advanced capabilities that bigger businesses take for granted, there was no easy place to find answers.  As a result, we are passionate about passing on our IT knowledge, without ‘blinding you with science', but with enthusiasm, clarity and an excellent service.
